So here I go again....A Hungry Teacher 2.0! Now, with a legit website and hopefully more followers! Eh, okay the first part yes, pretty cool but more followers- I know will take time and is nothing to lose sleep over.
So why the new site? I think I started my original blog circa 2009 (don't fact check pls) and that site just looked old. First of all, my header pictures are of me at 25 and now I'm 3.....something in that decade;) Next, I wanted a fresh start and more of an attractive & trendy looking blog. This is all a work in progress I may add, so bear with me - I know there are still improvements to be made even here. And lastly I just wanted to try something new. Apparently doing 'new things' keeps you young!??!
Now for the name. I know when I began blogging, I was indeed an actual teacher in an actual elementary school. And now, I'm not. And honestly I struggled with either keeping my name or renaming myself. I had some good new names picked out ( just as my husband, he hears all my quirky yet intelligent ideas) but I kept coming back to AHT (A Hungry Teacher). It is how I started and who I still believe I am. A teacher. Yes, I am still a teacher who is also a wife, mother, daughter, sister and an endless #foodie with an endless appetite. I teach each day- be it with my kids, myself or you via this blog- I still hold that title dear to my heart.
So that's where I'm at. A new site that will keep me cooking, dining, sipping and sharing. I'm pretty pumped about it and hope to keep this alive and kicking for years and meals to come!
